I've heard a lot of people complain the Thunder's uniforms are "plain Jane" or "boring." Maybe it's all in the eye of the beholder.
Clay Bennett said from the start he wanted something simple and classic. If you hoped for something more you were barking up the wrong tree. Besides your version of "boring, plain Jane" is classic to people like myself.
A lot of sports' uniforms are "boring, plain Jane," whether it's the cursive D on the Detroit Tigers' Major League Baseball uniforms, the simple white BOSTON written on the Celtics' road green uniforms, Duke's basketball unis and of course the classic New York Yankees who thankfully have resisted the urge to "jazz up" their uniforms and hats like so many other MLB teams.
Many NFL helmets, like the Packers, are a simple green and yellow with a white G on the side. Thankfully, NFL teams have jazzed up their jerseys over the years, even modernized helmets. But most NFL helmets and jerseys are simple. To me "Plain Jane" is classic, not boring.
Anyone who saw the Houston Astros way-too-many colors, pajama-like uniforms 30 years ago, or other way-to-busy basketball or baseball uniforms we've seen over the years, I'll take "plain Jane" as a classic look any day.
Wow are you deluded, the uniforms arent just plain they are God awful!! I mean the colors suck! the name sucks the team emblem sucks! It was a low class affair from the start. I for one will hope the team does great but will never and hear me close. NEVER! waer any team shirts etc that have those colors or that team emblem! If I wanted to wear those colors I would move to frisco and sell myself on castro street and get it over with.
